The EU Nations Women 2025 tournament in Brno ended with Slovakia once again crowned champions after a 15–11 victory over Switzerland in the final. Germany took bronze with a 16–13 win against Sweden, completing a strong showing from all four semifinalists.
Group A was dominated by Slovakia and Switzerland, both comfortably advancing to the semifinals. In Group B, Sweden topped the standings with a perfect record, followed by Germany, while hosts Czechia narrowly missed out after close defeats.
In the knockout rounds, Slovakia maintained their dominance, defeating Germany 15–9 in the semifinal, while Switzerland overcame Sweden 12–5. The bronze medal match saw Germany edge out Sweden in a tight contest, while the final brought a fitting end to the tournament with Slovakia confirming their status as the region’s powerhouse.
Hosts Czechia finished fifth after convincing wins over Wales (23–8) and Scotland (15–4). Fourteen-year-old Lucie Bakalová stood out as one of the youngest and most effective players of the event, scoring 19 goals to finish third among the tournament’s top scorers — behind Emma Gustafsson (Sweden) with 20 goals and Jamie-Julique Haas (Germany) with 21 goals.
Individual awards went to Karin Kačková (Slovakia) as Most Valuable Player and Maria Sekulic (Germany) as The Best Goalkeeper, recognising their outstanding performances throughout the competition.
